Tek
My friend wanted to sell me some cheap ass wire for next to nothing, so I figured "why not?". It's Lightning Audio 1/0 Gauge, and I plan on using it for my Big 3 Upgrade, but I don't want to use a 300A fuse and it ends up being way to big (which it very well could be). It is some thick wire, but it says 1029 strands. I have some pictures here, tell me what you think of it, is it actually 1/0?
Guest DC Power Kyle
lightning audio = rockford fosgate.

Tek
it looks bigger than 4. I tried fitting a 4GA terminal over it and it wasn't happening. Edited October 2, 2010 by Tek
Team_DC-Derrick
honestly, wiring goes by stand count.. it flows over the strands not through it.. so the more strand count the better the current will flow through even if its bigger than 4g doesnt mean it has teh same strand count as a good 4g will have... 1/0 normally has 3600 or more strand count.. if not its not the good stuff Quote The DC Integra 3 18s to 6 15 build log Team_DC-Derrick's Youtube Team DC Audio where theres a will theres a wall.......
