volt drop

so i got a new yellow top optima batt and done the big 3 and it reads 14.1. my old stock batt and with no big 3 it read 14.4. y is it lower when the upgrade was suppose to make it better. did i do somethin wrong? or do i need to charge the battery more? i would like some advice and suggestions please.

Did you check it after a decent drive? If not your gonna wanna do that. Brand new battery needs to get the swing of things.

ooh ok ya i been drivin around but didnt really check again. ill check once i get home from work. thanks man. so it jus need some time to charge up from the alt?

ok so i been drivin around for a while now and i meter my battery and it still reads 14.1. how can i get it up to 14.4 again? its a new yellow top optima and i just did the big3. my old batt read 14.4 and no big3. i dont get it lol

Yes wait for a charge maybe 14.4 is not resting.....and you just have to live with 14.1......isn't going to kill you for .3 volts.
