Sammitch0
I know mixing subwoofers and boxes is dumb as hell but I want SPL and dont care about sound its just for fun... I have a 15" Fi SSD fully loaded D1 in a 4cft box @ 35hz (sub up port forward) then I have a PSI 18" D2 in a 5cftbox @ 37hz (sub up port forward) I have enough room to fit them in the back of my jeep if I put my seats down it'd be perfect... I have a Kicker KX600.4 that runs 2 rear door speakers and thats it so the other two channels are free I was wondering how i'd wire that into 2ohm and get the most power to run the fi? I have a AP1500.1D for the PSI thats already setup I just need to get the Fi sounding decent on the KX600.4 I know it does 150x4 @ 2 OHM so does that mean I can get 300rms or 150? and how would I wire it on the two channels. http://www.crutchfield.com/p_206KX6004/Kicker-KX600-4.html?tp=115&tab=features_and_specs I just want to try it I did this before with the FI and a Type R 12 and it wanged I wanna try it with the Fi and PSI. Do I just bridge the Fi Dual 1 on both channels to get 2 ohm? btw b4 anyone says im stupid for running the Fi on a 4channel amp my friend ran two eDv3 on this kicker and it wanged. HHR Ed
If you want SPL, Thats not a good way to achieve it. Different woofer types, different power levels fight against eachother whereas like woofers and same power levels support eachother. bobmcbob_345
More than likely you will be louder with a single sub. The Reason you don't mix subs is because they will start canceling eachother out.
HHR Ed
I know mixing subwoofers and boxes is dumb as hell but I want SPL and dont care about sound Sounds like you care about SPL to me. So the short answer is NO, you cant do it. for a 4ch amp to work well on a dual coil sub, you need a D4 sub. For it to work properly and not be damaged, you cant. Dont know what else you wanna hear. Its not the proper equipment combo. Selling the 4ch and the 15 and getting another 1500 and another 18 would work wonders for you. Sammitch0
Why would I sell my 4 channel powering my door speakers? and the 15" which ISNT mine to upgrade a system which is already inadequate electrical wise? Doesn't sound like its for me. Explain how my friend hooked two Dual 2 OHM woofers upto this amplifier then on each 2 channel bridged?
