AMI CUSTOMS
What is the reserve capacity difference between the 3400 and 3100, that is the number that matters in this whole equation? CJ18
What is the reserve capacity difference between the 3400 and 3100, that is the number that matters in this whole equation? I dont know exactly what these numbers mean but Nathan just told me that the reserve capacity of the 3400 is 135 and the 3100 is 242. So I am looking at have 1080 with the 3400s vs your suggestion of 968 with 4 3100
AMI CUSTOMS
Reserve capacity is very important in a daily pounder, that is how long the battery can sustain voltage for a given amount of time. The higher the reserve, the longer the batteries will be able to keep voltage up!!! So basically with 5 d3100 you would be way over your reserve requirement and still under your budget amount, and I believe 5 d3100 take up less space and weight when compared to the 8 3400's??? Just my view on it, I would have went with the 3100s Edited October 21, 2010 by AMI CUSTOMS Quote TEAM SOUNDQUBED -- TEAM SOUTH TEAM S.O.B. - Founder & Captain 3x Streetbeat World Record Holder 2017 MWSPL 1st place Mayhem & 4th Xtreme 4 2016 MWSPL 1st place Mayhem/2nd Adv 4/2nd Xtreme 4 2015 MWSPL 2nd place Mayhem & 4th Xtreme 4 2014 USACI 2nd place Streetbeat 5 - 162.6 db 2014 MWSPL 2nd place Xtreme 4 - 144.9 db 2013 USACI 1st place Streetbeat 4 - 161.9 db 2013 USACI 1st place Street Q+ - 162.8 db 2013 MWSPL 3rd Kaos2 & 4th Xtreme 4 2011 USACI 2nd place MOD 1001-2k - 160.0 db 2011 MWSPL 4th place: Adv3 - 157.8 db, Kaos2 - 150s db, Xtreme4 - 140s db 2010 ARSPL 1st place 501-750 - 160.3 db Arkansas loudest Best score to date 164.4 db - Termlab Outlaw Streetbeat 4 - 161.9 db Streetbeat 5 - 162.6 db MWSPL on Dash Legal door open (Music) - 162.5 db Sealed on dash Legal (Music) - 161.1 db - Termlab THE BLACK NASTY CURRENT BUILD & FAB The Black Nasty (6) 15 Rebuild Log 2012 (4) 15 Walled Sierra Build Log Evo X build log Facebook page The Black Nasty
CJ18
5 3100s would have been a better and cheaper option but its too late now the batteries are ordered.
Nathan @ XSpower
Actually I would take 8 D3400s over 5 D3100s. You will have a LITTLE less capacity with the 8 D3400s, but you will get a LOT more power out of 8 D3400s. Really the price difference is minimal with either purchase in a build like this. CJ18
waiting on testing results Working on it. It is a slow process. Im tired of half ass rushing though things just to get it running. I am taking my time and doing everything right this time.
