99hoe
Got a Audioque 1200d pushing 2 re audio sex12d4 and it sounds like shit. Everytime it barely gets loud the amp starts clipping and the protect light comes on. I dont know wat to do. i wont to send the amp back cuz ive gotten three shop opinions and they all say the amp is not even pushing the watts that audioque claims. should i try to send it back or is there somethen else? What is your electrical like? Also check you RCA preouts at the headunit. Then check it down the line. Make sure you are getting the same reading. BeAlLsTaR13
turn all the amp settings down, make the ssf little below half, gain about half, bass boost at 0 and lpf around 80hz if you can, sound better? and that shop is wrong, those amps put out way more than what they say when used correctly, tell them to STFU, its either the subs or the box or the way you have it tuned. Carroot1
Your obviously doing something wrong, I have the same amp and it is getting 14-13.8vs. Turn the bass boost on the amp all the way down to zero set your LPF at 80-100 make sure you subsonic filter is at or a little below your box tuning. Check your headunits settings to make sure that the bass boost is all the way down or off. Go to your pre -outs and turn the subwoofer level all the way up or on. Then play a song with lots of bass ( i put on) and keep the clipping light handy. Start your gain off at lowest and work your way up till the clipping light comes on and back down the gain till it stops. If your still having clipping then your amp is fucked, return it get a new one
