i got ahold of a adjustable voltage regulator for my jeep finally and a new agm rear battery. i was reading the label and said do not pass 14.6v when charging. but i need to set at 15v to keep up for the power of my amp. will i still be safe at 15v for 2 batteries

I don't think it would be safe to run 12volt batts that high.

You need 14volt batts.

That's still .4volts under what you're trying to do.

And I didn't say you can't do it, I said it wouldn't be safe to do it. But as TeamHT said, Who are a lot of people? Do you have links to any build logs that shows that?

I charge my XS Power D2400 and D2700 battery at 15.1 daily for over a year with no problems. I think meade has his at 15.5? or 15.6

steve meade does 15.3 daily i basicly wanna sit at 14.4 full tilt so i figured if i set it at 15v and when the hard lines kik in i'll settle at 14.4

So you guys that charge these at 15+ volts for several hours like turning you d3100 into a d3400 or smaller, because you are aware you are forcing the gas out of the battery. Have fun replacing batteries every couple of years.

Perhaps you should do a little research then because you are wrong.

Here I will help you out, this is one of Optima's disclaimers all there batts are AGM's, XS power has a similar disclaimer but I can't find it anywhere

Always use a voltage regulated battery charger with limits set to the above ratings. Overcharging

can cause the safety valves to open and battery gases to escape, causing premature end of life.

These gases are flammable! You cannot replace water in sealed batteries that have been

overcharged. Any battery that becomes very hot while charging should be disconnected

immediately.

You can also run into the battery expanding or bulging out due to excessive overcharging due to the extreme heat that is created from prolonged overcharging.
