There is nothing wrong with buying store brand stuff like Kicker and Pioneer if thats what you can afford for now. I ran kicker subs for years before I got into more expensive stuff. Build your system one piece at a time and make improvements when you HAVE to not just because others did it. Yeah I know what you mean. Like my friend has 2 kickers. There pretty good, and he says it was only 700 for a 2.6k amp and 2 15' kickers. But, we shall see. I'll probably go with kickers and then when I get a job, get some Fi's! For little money it is beautiful! And depending on the vehicle, the big 3 will suffice. But I would do similar to what HT said. AQ1200 249 shipped. Plan on 100 or so for wires and then 50 for wood and glue. so that's at 400. That give you 400 to spend on subs. You could get one FI BL or a DC Lvl 4 or almost two ssds. Just find prices and find out how much you actually have to spend. Look in the used section here even. And with just over a 1,000 watts you should be fine on voltage with your stock electrical. Just get a voltage gauge. $15 shipped on eBay. RyanJ Posted October 19, 2010 Author Report Posted October 19, 2010 buy an audiopipe ap1500 like 150 and a 15" or 18" ssd. and you should be more than happy, you could even save the money and get the ap1000 or whatever it is instead of the 1500, but if u have the 1500 u could eventually upgrade to two ssd's and still have the power. just a suggestion. you could also look into the audioque sdc2.5 series subs, they are really cheap and great bang for you buck. I just suggest the audiopipe amps,ap line because they do rated and do hold up, and are cheap. With only 1500 watts to, you shouldn't need to worry about an alt or anything else, at the most maybe throw as big of battery as u can in the front, but thats not even a must. if you start off with one sub and work your way up, you'll have the gain turned down anyways so wouldn't be killing your electrical. you can look at the audioques' @ www.audioque.com good luck with everything man. Yeah I know what you mean. Ill for sure check it out. But I really want 2 15's and running at least 2k watts.
