irpirate
so i built a box for 4 12" l7s. external dimensions are 38 width x 21.5 height x 31 depth. 3/4 mdf. subs up, port up. port width is 36.5, height is 3.6, length 17.5. its a common chamber for all subs. the only internal bracings i did was a piece of the mdf in the middle top to bottom and a small piece at the bottom of the port. i have a mac so i cant really find a way to get a program to calculate it for me. ive been getting answers from people and online calculators anywhere from 32 to 38. go easy on me, first box i ever built used truckbed liner for the finish. thanks! hiiiiiiii2002 4runner - buncha speakers n amps n shit (gone)1994 astro - more stuffzupdate: pretty sure all the pic links in the logs are broken lol. ma slop garb build log16 12's 4th order4runner rebuild in progressclickkk meeeee!!!! 4 18's 6th orderUBL - clickyhttp://www.youtube.com/yyj11589 lots of hater kids here. JEDIDIA
Nice!!! Should sound good!!! irpirate
gonna be using a soundstream dtr 3400 @ .5 ohms. subs are wired parallel/parallel. electric is dc power 270xp, xs power 3100 under the hood and one in back. 3/0 welding for power ground and big 3. have a kicker 850.4 powering 4 phoenix gold rsd 6x9s and 4 pryamid tw18 tweeters. cheap stuff, fuk the mids and highs didnt wanna start ripping my car apart so i just sloppy boxed em and stuck em on the box lol. front side of box. 850.4 is on a lil ghetto table thing i made, dtr 3400 is gonna sit rite under it. still gotta look at mounting option once i get the amp cuz it can mount vertically. barely have room to fold the seats back up. wouldn't be able to at all if i had the grills on the 6x9s which is why theyre off. quick question on setting gains w/ a dmm. just wanna check the numbers. i have a 50 hertz 0db sine wave ima play. for the 850.4 each channel needs to push out around 150 rms@ 2 ohms. so i need to match the ac voltage for one channel to 17-18 volts. for the subs i need 3000 rms @ .5 ohms. since the amp has 4 speaker terminals im guessing theyre gonna be connected internally. would it matter which positive or negative channel i put the probes in? the voltage for this should be 39 ya? thanks everyone hiiiiiiii2002 4runner - buncha speakers n amps n shit (gone)1994 astro - more stuffzupdate: pretty sure all the pic links in the logs are broken lol. ma slop garb build log16 12's 4th order4runner rebuild in progressclickkk meeeee!!!! 4 18's 6th orderUBL - clickyhttp://www.youtube.com/yyj11589 lots of hater kids here.
