Recommended Posts

I am currently building my box for 4 LVL 5 18's......It is going in a 00 Burban......just wondering what port area is good for the subs also what freq the subs like too.......Port is going to be removable so i can play with it.......i was planning on 120sq in tuned to 28-29 hz....box is going to be about 22 after everything is said and done....and the subs are going to have 2 rockford t25000 on each sub so each sub is going to be seeing about 5500

i have 240 sq inch of port for just 2 of my lvl 5 18s, and the box is 16 cubes after displacement

seems 15 sq inch per cube is a good number to go by..

and 35hz has worked the best for me, it kills the lows, and kills up to about 45 hz

320 sq in of port would probably sound good, try to make it 12-16 in per cube

I dont like it... to be honest

I was supposed to be shrinking the box but ive never got around to it.. I am sure it would sound ALOT better and probably get louder with the power im running to them, if i shrunk it to 5.5ish after displacement

i would say between 300 and 330ish port area tuned to 35hz, but thats going by 15 sq inch of port per cube.. 300 for 20 cubes, 330 for 22 cubes
