bassahaulic
Will be fine as long as it's clean power.

AMI CUSTOMS
If done right that sub can handle twice that power daily, you will be fine. Arsaces
If done right that sub can handle twice that power daily, you will be fine. I am really new to doing my own car audio, could you explain what you mean by done right? And are you saying that when I go to buy a single channel amp for this woofer I should not limit myself to the 400 watts? 4 ohms will be bridged. wouldnt a 1 channel work better for this? I think a 1 channel would probably be better but I had this xplod amp powering 2 12s in my last car, the new car I was not interested in having no trunk so I wanted to go with 1 10 for now, so I decided to invest in a decent quality sub and then latter down the road grab a decent to good quality amp. Clean power - What does this mean? I would be using 4 guage wire (recommended by the sony manual) if that helps.
