It isn't going to change the performance of the amp if that is what you are thinking. And you can mount to the back of the rear seats, just find the rail in the seat and use a self tapping screw. And do it right the first time, helps with troubleshooting if it doesn't work right to know you have one piece of wire instead of multiple pieces spliced together.
