Component and midbass help ?

I am starting to plan out my front stage and wanted to know what i need to put in my doors ? i need some midbass badly but i didnt know if some 5.25 or 6.5's are going to do enough for my midbass ? will be amp'd of course. Or should i put some 8 inch subs in my doors and tweeters in my pillars ? Also, i would prefer to mount the 5.25 or 6.5's in the lower door and the tweeters in the pillars anyway. So what are your suggestions on good midbass in my doors and suggestions for some tweeters for the pillars ? Remember i do a 65 dollar a paycheck budget, but can usually find what i need on that budget !

If you can get the right pair of 8's, that is what I'm doing. Putting a pair of Sundown E8 v2's in when they come in. I'm not using any sort of enclosure, just mounting them IB in the doors and not giving them too much power.

my team mate just has a 6.5" component set from image dynamics and he has TOO MUCH midbass lol. thats after all his EQing but still, even the cheapest set from image dynamics has great midbass.

and remember, if you go with 8"s for midbass you will need a crossover for them plus the extra amp to run them. get a nice set of 6.5"s and you can run them with the passive crossover they come with and you dont need a second amp.

Yea, I forgot to mention that, but mine will be running off of a SAX-100.4 active using my Alpine PXA-H701 for crossover. So you need to take that into consideration as well.

if i where to use a set of 8's in the lower doors , would i have to completely seal the door so it would act like an enclosure ? My stock location has 6x8's in them, would i be better off to find some good 6x8's for bass over the 5.25 or 6.5's ? I will be running a 2 channel 600 watt amp for my fronts. 100 watt rms x 2 at 4 oms. I would like to have tweets in my A pillars though, so even if i get a component set with the tweet mounted on the mids, i could still add a set of tweets to the pillars, correct ?

A component set will have the mids and tweeters separate, the mids with the tweeters mounted on them are called coaxial. And yea you could still run tweeters in the a-pillars, but you would need a crossover for them and a separate amp for them unless you want to try running everything off your one amp.

I gotta agree with skittles though, the ID CTX are awesome bang for the buck speakers, the CXS have incredible mid range, and the XS are loud as hell even with low power. I'd go with the CTX components, run the 6.5" mid driver in your door and the tweeters in the a-pillar. You won't be disappointed.

Thanks, i was wondering wat the difference was in comp. and coax ! Feel stupid though ! LOL Those are a little high for my budget though, can you suggest anything cheaper ? And also is everyone basically with the same understanding that the 6.5's will have enough midbass amp'd, even with some of the cheaper models ? I have my subs tuned and boxed where i want them and they are stupid loud, just need to fill in the rest now !

I'm not sure what model they are, but DLS has a low end coaxial set that's under $100 and sounds great. Someone might know which one I'm talking about, I've only heard them on a sound board never asked about what model they were.

I saw these and yeah i know that they are Audiobahn but i read alot of reviews from people that had them and the where very pleased, and i can get a set for around 40 bucks which is well within my budget, Audiobahn AS57PQ

but im afraid they wont be able to provide enough midbass ?????????????
