Design diminishing sound quality or volume?

My trunk is set up with two twelves at the front of the trunk facing the rear of the car, then a 8-9 inch gap between the face of the subs, then a non-airtight divider ( if u look at the pic it's the chevy emblem part), then on the other side of that, the amps and caps. The divider is just that, a divider, and purely aesthetic, and by no means airtight, but could it is obstructing the waves from the subs from hitting the trunk directly, would this cause a major difference in sound quality? or loudness?

just a question...what's the point of that 3rd sub facing up?

Is the box ported or sealed? looks sealed or are those ports on each side of the subs.

No point really. And it's two separate chambers for each sub. The boxes are ported on either side.
