question about current setup vs new one

I have a rockford p1 15" in the same box as a 15" cadance(I KNOW THATS A NO NO LOL) On a 2000watt amp at 13v

If i bought 2 DC level 5 15's would it slam and would i have alot more bass than what i have now

Of course it will have more bass! its DC... lol. Anyways, You will need MAJOR electrical upgrades and a MUCH bigger amp... Or amps That amp will barely run 1 sub

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say no. Biggest issue is enclosure spec. I don't see a box working for a P1 working for a level 5 and might sound like ass.

That being said, its not enough information but to be logical in the correct enclosure with sufficient power, the P1 is not a fair comparison. Not even fair to compare to the level 1

I'm sure the OP's box is prefab... So you'd have more bass if you stepped up the rest of your system. A LOT more.

im more than sure its a prefab. but are you seriously thinking a prefab box made for P1 subs is going to be ANYWHERE close to what is needed for a level 5? a weaker sub in a correct enclosure has a better advantage than a better sub in a horrible enclosure. not to mention no mention of whether its sealed or ported. so slam (if they would even fit) two level 5s into a small prefab possibly sealed and your thought is that it would be louder with more bass? i think it would sound like ASS and a waste of great equipment.

OP, i dont think youre ready for the installation requirements of the level 5. i would suggest looking at if youre set on DC, the level 3 or level 4. make sure they get the correct enclosure built for them and they would not require as much power as the level 5 and give you a MUCH more enjoyable experience. if youre feeling ballsy, do two level 4 XLs.

holy in-depth explanation batman! you said so much more than i would have haha. also the fact that if he had like 5 of those "2000 watt" amps on a single level 5, it would laugh its ass off at that power.

its also confusing how you are willingly doing something wrong like mixing woofers (and using max power ratings but thats besides the point) and you are asking about a woofer that most likely costs more than your entire woofer/box/amp setup and you want to get 2 of them.

If you're gonna get those woofers, prepare to spend an arm and a leg to run them. Lol, its just annoying when someone asks a vague question with nowhere near enough information to give a plausible answer, then for someone to say "hey, its dc. Of course it will be louder!" With no thought to enclosure, setup, electrical or anything actually important for any install. Because...everyone knows as long as you have a level 5 youre loud!

Not really ranting, just hoping more people would use common sense and logic.

But a lot of people are never really ready when they go in with the same mentality when they installed mismatching shitty subs. Level 5s are beasts for sure, but it is not like throwing it in a box, wiring cheap amps to it, and calling it a day.

If you're going to jump in head first you need to read, read, research, read, and have a wallet. If you're not ready to do this, read, research, and get some equipment more fitting to your experience.
