Which Amp ?

I really need help picking the right type and wattage amp, I have the following :

2 x Sony 12" Subs - nominal 350 rms- 1200 max rms at 4 ohms.

In custom built ported box at 4 cubes tuned to 35hz

Current Amp : Powerbass asa 600.2 - 1200 watt max class a/b 2 channel amp

4 ohms - 150w x 2

2 ohms - 300w x 2

4 ohms bridged - 600w x 1

Now my subs hit hard now, and i am pleased but i would like to step up the power and see what they can do. Can ya'll please suggest an amp ? At least a type of amp and wattage please . Also my subs are wired in series now, and im not sure what that makes my wattage and ohms, can someone please tell me what wattage and ohms i have running to them now and what i will have with say a Mono amp ? These are SVC subs so i know im not getting the full 600 to them, correct ? ARGGG ! I get confused with this , please help !!

i was told that with SVC 4 ohm subs im not going to get the whole 600 watts from this amp , im trying to understand but dont quite grasp it, please help ? Im assuming i need a mono amp ?

Keep what have for the time being and upgrade the sub and amp at the same time.

EDIT: Just check on some threads about subs and amps and you'll get a lot of good info from those people making recommendations as there are just so many brands and levels to from and just sit here and throw ideas out there that you may or may not be interested in.

Well i want to use this amp for my front stage so want to purchase another amp with more power for the back, but i still dont quite understand the whole thing with wiring and ohms and all that ?

Im not actually so much concerned in brand of amp but what type and wattage and ohm i need and how to wire my subs to it

I am assuming for this situation i should get a mono amp and then wire my subs in parallel and then they would be wired to 2 ohms correct ? Most mono amps are 2 ohm stable i believe.

Wiring in parallel will cut the ohm load in half.

Wiring in series will double the ohm load.

When in doubt rockford has a wiring chart for people to use.

As fas as a second amp alpine mrp m500 would be a good option as it is 2ohm stable for those subs and you'll get 500w rms from it to power those sony's.

you are correct. find a class D mono amplifier capable of 700 watts RMS @ 2 ohm.

so , right now im only getting like 300 watts ? 150 to each speaker ? Correct ?

Essentially i would be doubling my power ?

That is correct. If you had SVC 2 ohm subs or DVC 4ohm subs you would "double" your power

i would do either the:

AQ1200 to be safe

AQ2200 for better power output at 2ohms or a

Kicker ZX1500
