drewb53
I have a couple questions about putting LED light bars in the interior of a vehicle. First do you have to use the lights that are set up for 12 volts if you are running them off of power from your amp? Also how do you wire like an led bar? I want to put a light bar back by my subs for at night and i was curious as how to do this. Also if i get a switch do i put that in line with the power wire? Yes you can put the switch in line with the power, or the ground. What other kind of LED bars were you planning on using besides 12v ones? I put a bunch of cheap flexible LED strips in my car wired to my dome light and they look good. I wouldnt make it so you can see the bar or strip, it makes it look ricey and stupid in my opinion. You can tap into anything that has power to it. Your amp power would work fine if you want the light back there. drewb53
The reason that i asked about 12 volt ones was; I was looking on the internet and some said 12v and others did not. My plan was to either put it by my amp or under shining up towards my subs. Tek
would this Switch work? And if so how would you wire it up? one prong gets power, one prong gets grounded, and the last prong is for the power wire of the accessory.
drewb53
okay.. I am a noob at this.. so you would put one from your powersource, then one and ground it, and then the last attach the power wire of the light bar? also how would you go about attaching your wires to this? could you loop them through or solder them? hdorre
would this Switch work? And if so how would you wire it up? Yessir. One prong is for ground, one prong is for the LED strip, and one prong is for a constant 12 volt source (battery) Edit: Ninja'd Edited November 15, 2010 by hdorre Quote On 5/8/2011 at 7:38 PM, Kranny said: On 5/8/2011 at 7:35 PM, 'Maxim' said: It hurts me inside when I read stuff like this and remember you're 15 LMFAO so true Mitsubishi 3000GT (Old Build) Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: (2) McLaren Audio MLT-2 Tweeters & (4) PRV Audio MR Series Neo 6.5" Mids Substage: 4 15" Hybrid Subs - Tantric Motors & Sundown Softies Amps: Banda 2.4D Amp (Tweets), American Bass VFL 350.4 (Mids), and (2) Ampere 3800s Electrical :Singer 260A Alt & JY Power Lithium 2005 Chevy Colorado Ext Cab Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: 4 PRV 700Ti Tweets & 6 10" Delta Mids on 3000wrms Substage: 6 Fi BTL 18s in a 4th Order Walkthrough on 3 Wolfram 4500s Electrical: Singer "390" and JY Power My Official Feedback Thread

Yep, that's how its wired. As for the 2nd question, I would solder Quote On 5/8/2011 at 7:38 PM, Kranny said: On 5/8/2011 at 7:35 PM, 'Maxim' said: It hurts me inside when I read stuff like this and remember you're 15 LMFAO so true Mitsubishi 3000GT (Old Build) Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: (2) McLaren Audio MLT-2 Tweeters & (4) PRV Audio MR Series Neo 6.5" Mids Substage: 4 15" Hybrid Subs - Tantric Motors & Sundown Softies Amps: Banda 2.4D Amp (Tweets), American Bass VFL 350.4 (Mids), and (2) Ampere 3800s Electrical :Singer 260A Alt & JY Power Lithium 2005 Chevy Colorado Ext Cab Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: 4 PRV 700Ti Tweets & 6 10" Delta Mids on 3000wrms Substage: 6 Fi BTL 18s in a 4th Order Walkthrough on 3 Wolfram 4500s Electrical: Singer "390" and JY Power My Official Feedback Thread
