Does anyone have a step by step on how to mount a double Din in a 99 jeep GC (single din)

i dont want to start cutting until i know what to cut... naa meen?

Im a little confused here. Probably because these 4 posts make up 1/3 of the posts of the two posters.

Anyways, thats a tough spot for a doubledin unless you can find a kit... especially if you want to keep the vents. (atleast thats how it looks to me, measuring would help) Can you work with fiberglass? Id check out what some other people have done to install stuff in the dash. Meade has done some stuff that could be helpful and gp2k is always helpful for anything glass related. Both have their own section.

As far as btl specs... links to fi's website are all over this place. Checking their section out would be a start for a good place to find it.

the specs for all fi subs should be in this thread, except for the N-series which you can now find on their site under BTL category

as for double-din, wish i could help, my car had factory double-din so i didnt have to worry about much except for shaving about 1/8 inch from top of installation area to fit double din i n

I would not think putting a double din in that opening is going to be too simple. Id stick to a single.

Id just keep the single or get a flip out honestly. I think that even if you could find a kit for the double din or can do fiberglass that youd have to figure out a way for air to stop coming up behind the ehadunit because thatd be no good having heat etc blowing into the back. I suggest a flip out if you must
