i know its not my post but i got to ask something. its been bugging me since i have started building boxes. that glue you were using is it good to use that kind? i have always your liquid nails. it seems so much stronger than the glue you are using? just a question though.

You need a new alternator. More batteries will help but your factory alternator can't keep your voltage where it should be.

I would go with 2 decent batteries first, I think he will work out fine that way. That alt could keep up with 2500 watts with a couple batteries. If he ends up needing the alt later then he could upgrade. I would just try for 2 good batteries first.

im gluing everything but also stapling everything. i am going to fiberglass the box inside, so im thinking the the staples (which ive stapled the shit out of it) and the fiberglass should hold up. i am thinking that the stock alternator and 2 deka intimidator 9a31's should be enough, along with the big 3 with knukonceptz 1/0 cable.

put the subs up in the front of the box(where the port opens opposite of what the cketch up looked like) to avoid loading issues.

and dont use optimas get those deka's but the best choice is XS, but also the new alt would be a great choice batteries are just a band-aid on the bigger problem.

having the subs so close to the port wont give them the back pressure they get from being farther away from the port. the back pressure is what helps a sub handel more power. By moving them to the front they'll have more air to push towards the port instead of to the fron where it has no where to go

i also wanted to know about the settings on the amp, when i put this box in.. right now i believe all the settings are all the way up, i control the bass from the knob.. how do i go about setting the amp so i dont blow the subs?
