Saying bass is illegal because there are noise ordinances (which don't apply solely to bass, it applies to noise) is like saying drivng cars are illegal because there is a speed limit, lol. how was the arguments made on both sides of the hazard debates NOT on topic? You can have whatever wheel you want but if it pokes out AND DOESNT have a mudflap, you can get a ticket for not having a MUDFLAP. You wont get a ticket for having the wheels. just like those big ass 4x4's with the huge lift and swamper tires.......they also have to have mudflaps or they can get a ticket. Guess no more turbos or superchargers which would OBVIOUSLY increase gas consumption to a stupidly low level. You talk about staying on topic dime yet fail to realize when state law is brought up....THAT IS THE TOPIC. California law on rim size. Or did you fail to read that when clicking on the thread?
