Are Capacitors worth installing

I had a Kintic 2400 up front stock alt and a 50 faret cap from phoenix gold had major voltage drop and hardcore dimming lights took the cap out lights barly dimmed and went up 1.5 DBS the problem was that the cap would drain then my alt was trying to charge both the bat and cap killin my voltage

Toss the cap, burn it, sell it, whatever. GET A BATTERY MAN. Caps are JUNK.

You can also gain a full DB when you take out fuses of the equation too...

They can serve a purpose, sure, but the problem is that most people hook them up expecting them to be a miracle worker (by eliminating dimming when their beat causes voltage to drop to 12v). IMO, your electrical should be up to par before you ever consider installing a cap.

i agree 100% get the electrical up first, add a second batt if needed then add a cap, caps can do good,if they are of good quality. but there is allot of junk that looks pretty and lights up. that's about all they are good for.
