Sir-Lancelot's Yukon XL Build

Recommended Posts

Okay, so here is where i can use some help from you guys.

My box is too close to the rear hatch. I need to move the batteries so I can push the box up against the rear seats.

Now you guys with Tahoes, Burbans, Yukons show me where you have your batteries. I feel sure I can put them on the drivers side of the box, but was hoping to see some pics. Anyone?

Welding a box under the truck like Steve has is beyond my skill set and I don't own a welder. That is not an option unfortunately. So come on guys, help me out here and post up those battery rack pics. If I can push my box back that 10 or so inches it will make a huge difference.

Imo the box is to high moving it forward will help but the port is choked up, i did mine just below seat line with my batterys in the back between the gate and box, could only fit 2 then 2 up front

Yeah that is an option, but I have my mids and high amps under there now. I could mount them to the box below the Crunch amps.

That may be the easiest idea, if they fit. Tape measure time.

Looks great.

I love that box.

Thank you Man.

The box was designed for me by JBLCamry. I love it.

Thank you Sir. I appreciate the kind words.

That's why I want to make it work. It looks too good to build another one. lol.

It's loud now, but I know it would be better if it wasnt being choked by the hatch. Prolly tuned to like 26 or 27hz factoring in the hatch acting like a port itself.

That's 2 votes for under the seats. I will measure this tomorrow. Hope it will work, that would be the easiest fix.

If I can move it to the back of the rear seats, it will be around 14" off the back hatch. I think it will help a good bit. (hope it will help a good bit) LOL 14"d x 50"w = 700" Hopefully it wont have much effect on it. That's the plan anyway, but as you know in car audio plans are often thrown out the window and compromises are necessity.

Got a pic of your box?
