Sanitarium
How old was the alternator? I see your video and you make your point. But I had a completely different experience. Weird. Just one of those things I guess This was in March so... 3 month old alternator and truck was warm so idle voltage was lower even though 15+ v is not something I've ever been able to sustain with it. AMI CUSTOMS
I was just referring to impedance rise. Way too many people get hung up on their rise when they're not competing and playing a lot more than just one note. As soon as I buy all my 3500s ill be asking you with any questions, but this guy doesn't even know how to properly set up his electrical. Which isn't bad, I'm just saying rise might be a lot more than he's ready to tackle when I don't see it important for a daily system. It daily rise is just as important, if you are rising to like 8 ohms from 1 ohm, are you gonna be dropping as much voltage? That is my point. TeamHT
At one frequency? Thats my point. Impedance rise is not going to be the same when playing music in a daily system. And I have to disagree, impedance rise in a daily system just seems so useless. It may help with the voltage question but even then, not what I see important. I mean, if it was important for daily vehicles do you realize how many enclosures would have to be built, broken down, rebuilt, tested, broken down, rebuilt, tested and so forth? That's hardly convenient or feasible for a daily system. And then, in which case, if you're not going to do anything about impedance rise, why bother with it? I don't believe impedance rise should be used to save the electrical system, it should be used when trying to find an optimal enclosure when competing.
