bedmakerjj Posted December 2, 2010 Author Report Share Posted December 2, 2010 Whats with everyones obsession with running low ohm loads, the SD8000 does over rated at 12 volts at 1 ohm, so if you can give it the power it needs even if you have a good amount of rise you will still likely see over rated power at 14-15volts constant. -Hobby- Posted December 4, 2010 Report Share Posted December 4, 2010 I have a SD8000 wired to 2.4ohm on 10 AA Chaos subs. I havent clamped it yet, maybe Sunday, but it is a beast for sure. My voltage is in the high 14's most of the time so Im sure thats helping. Murilo told me that if I was gonna attempt to run mine at .6ohm, which is my other option, to just be very careful with it. Set the amp up so the clip light is not coming on at full tilt and to roll up on the volume for a burp. Running at .5 for daily isnt a good idea with these amps.
