DodgerCannon
Hi all, Just wondering whether 4 1500d's can be linked together so I only have to set up one amp and so I can.use one bass controller? Cheers
sundownz
No, you cannot. You can do two pairs, though. VOPA
When you strap an amp, it is letting one amp do the positive side of the AC wave form and the other amp do the negative. Think of your speaker goingn out (+) and your speaker going in (-) So then you have each amp doing its either +/- 40 volts max output and then the other doing to complement +/- 40 volts. Each amp tied to each others negative terminals gives its 0 volt reference point and essentially completes the circuit. You cannot tie more than one amp doing positive or negative only becuase you cannot sychronize the output and the output voltages would end up "fighting" each other leaving major power dissipation in the amps internals or in other words, , it doesnt work. F1rtyfwe
iirc you can use one of maxxsonics gain knobs if you can work the mess out with your rcas and you could bypass the sundown gain knobs and you a gain knob for the rca signal. sundownz
If you just want to use one knob then a telephone cord y-splitter will do that -- simply put an input into each master amp from that. You will still need to match both pair of amps gain. DodgerCannon
Great.... I didn't want to be using two bass knobs. Thanks sundownz. I only ask because I had two vibe amps that could be strapped like 4 times but powering 4 loads so only the need to set one amp up.
