Audiopipe AP 3000.1D ok to power 1 lvl 4 DC 18"?

Im working on a build for my 82 4 door chevy caprice, Im working on getting a HO alt and a couple new batteries before I actually install the amp and sub in a couple of months. I am on a budget as Im waiting on my disability checks to kick in so I was looking for a good amp for cheap price, I like the Crescendo 3k but there sold out and are at the edge of what I can afford after all my power upgrades, So I kept looking and seen that the AudioPipes do rated power, or damn close at least, and right now the AP 3000.1D is only $280 new, and I believe thats shipped too! I made my mind up on DC by educating myself on em and by Rustys excelent customer service! I want to go big and get a 18 and after talking with Rusty I have a price I can afford for a lvl 4 18" so thats that. But my question is will the AP 3000.1D power my lvl 4 18 enough to get? Ive never had any experiance with AuidioPipe but have read on here and elsewhere that they actually do rated or close to rated power at 14v. Any thoughts and help would be appriciated guys!

They do rated, but IIRC DC LV4's are dual 2 ohm, and the AP3000.1D won't do 1 ohm mono stable, and there's no power ratings with it at 4 ohms. Maybe someone else with a bit more experience can help.

If you havent got the sub yet and are getting it new, I would definatly add the LVL5 coils to help handle the power better, in no way will you ever see a constant 3000rms daily on music just because thats how music is, but add the LVL5coils and you should be golden.

Edit: Also for icemans response they offer a ton of different coil options, so they will be able to meet his needs no problem

They do rated, but IIRC DC LV4's are dual 2 ohm, and the AP3000.1D won't do 1 ohm mono stable, and there's no power ratings with it at 4 ohms. Maybe someone else with a bit more experience can help.

It says it'll do 1 ohm stable, but I know that doesnt meant just cause its says that means it'll do it so thats why I thought id ask. AN when I order my lvl 4 I can order it with lvl 5 coils correct?

its 1 ohm stereo, 2 ohm mono

No problem, I think they have coils like .5,.7,1,1.5,1.7,2.....so there are alot of choices.

And to the OP I think there 2 different models, one says 1ohm stable, and one is the one everyone uses which is 2 ohms stable(since its two AP1500's strapped) mind linking us to the version you were looking at??

The standard level 4 will handle 1000-1250 with no problems as long as it is clean power. If you add the level 5 coils, then they will handle around 1500w. If you are going to get the ap3k then I would get and XL, which will handle 2000+ watts. If you are set on the Level 4, then I would look into a 2000w amp.
