ChevyBoy Posted August 26, 2007 Report Share Posted August 26, 2007 one thing distortion is made from is clipping. which in turn means that you dont have enough power to the amp. so you send a dirty signal to the sub which is distortion. so what youre actually trying to ask, is if you have enough battery power? Amperage x voltage = true watts to your subs. And that will vary with what music or test tone you play while testing.
