Legal TL scores145.6 on the dash sealed up in the low 40hz area with the port out145.5 on the dash sealed up @30hz with the port inless then 1k clamped on a 3.5k!

Why would you EVER WANT flex?
huh?...flex is what can make the lows lower and more air being pushed correct?

i honestly don´t think you would be loud with that amplifier, i seriously hope you upgrade it later hommie, anyways, i would make the box 14"H x 30"W x 16"D , port 12.5"H x 2.5"W x 28"D giving you 2 cubic feet after displacement and 35 tuning with 14.5 SQ of port per cubic feet.

I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains. Panamenian 2009 & 2010 & 2014 Bass Race 149.9 Champion!

2 15" subs and a 2K wired at 1 ohm, http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167788-fecupe2001-2-15s-on-a-2k-video-on-page-3/

8 Massive 15" subs and small power, http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/179296-fecupe2001s-8-15s-4th-order-bandpass-wall/

For such a small sub (strength and cone area) this is too big. I'm not at home right now so I can't get you a design, but you should shoot for 1.5 cubes after displacement, and keep the port relatively small too. Say 18 to 20 square inches of port total.

Ask onelivinglarge how having too much box for his fi x 15 effected him.

i advicing him that size because of the power he has, also, that port size because the xmax isn´t small at all, but once again, i haven´t used that sub before so if you say i´m wrong then i guess you are right, nice input then! :drinks:

no, your freq is way to high with that, your at 37.04hz and you need to be at 25.7hz. i got you at 26.52hz with a box that is h-14 w-40 d-15 with a port of 10x3x40

edit- i do want to say he did a good job with his question though. he gave all the info we needed. where usually it, i need one for my car, i have a 12in sub. gtfo. you know what i mean.... :drinks:

why does he need a 26 hz tuning? you tune your boxes at the same frequency as the FS of the sub???? 26 hz is LOW as hell if you ask me, he´s gonna be able to play only C&S music and lows, i wouldn´t tune lower than 35 hz, specially on a single sub setup, but that´s just me.
