How come you would run a total of 4.5 cubes for three? I said 4.5 because of displacement and bracing.... usually 3 cubes PER sub would mean the subs would probably rip apart at higher volume due to the sub moving so freely and not having enough back-pressure to keep the woofers mechanically stable... YOU CAN DO IT dont get me wrong, But i would ONLY do something THAT drastic if i had 3 15s and maybe a 500 watt amp... in Low power applications its plausible. They MIGHT end up being kinda flat on the higher notes but shine in Low end response... like 32hz and below But like i tell everyone... The one controlling the volume knob is the determining factor to how long the system lasts..... ISO Posted December 23, 2010 Report Share Posted December 23, 2010 If I were building a sub box for 3 15in CVR's I would shoot for around 3cf apiece with 2.5 to 3 pounds of polly fill per chamber so the subs should have a nice little bump in the frequency response but still sound good and get low. I DO NOT recommend sharing chambers when building a sealed sub box for multiple woofers. I would also put as much power as I could on them so they perform to their potential. 500 watts apiece would be ideal.
