i was installing my new system this weekend and i ran into a problem . i cant get a drill into the engine compartment to drill a hole for the wire... does anyone have any tips on how to get it to the amp without drilling through the firewall

the cars a 1987 toyota supra.

any existing rubber garmets you could use?

also a firewall has 2 sides, you try drilling from other side? :P

there are no existing gromets big enough. ive already looked...i cant drill fron the other side either.. no room for a drill

Hmmm... I've ran them through the fender into the cabin when left with no other option... Yours seem easy to take off & put on again. Under the car is another last resort type thing also if things get tricky

Hmmm... I've ran them through the fender into the cabin when left with no other option... Yours seem easy to take off & put on again. Under the car is another last resort type thing also if things get tricky

i was thinking about going through the fender...i guess this weekend ill have to try that. i know theres a gromet going into the fender then that leads to the cabin but i just couldnt get the wire to follow it.... ill have to take the fender iff i guess...running under the car isnt an option
