My dust cap flew off my SMD!!

I'd talk to AA about this, I'm sure they will take care of ya.

IMO that port is awefully small for a high-excursion sub with alot of motor-force like the SMD, plus it's being restricted by the battery which chokes up flow making the port act as if it were even longer and with less area. So you get alot of pressure buildup in the box and it will stress the dustcap glue joint....and now the cone structure.

Just talked to nick im going to send it in for them to look at it but if this happens to any one else he says not to use CA glue. Thats the reason it got worse the second time. I guess you live and you learn.

It looks like the whole box was choked off from the cabin with the "amp rack"

yea, the amp rack was the stock shelf. i thought it would be neat to keep it but now im thinking about ripping it out after this.

Colors are a nice option. They can help for organization. For example- say someone makes a post that has a lot of incorrect information. You can make different sections of their post and your reply different colors.

I have the DROID-X I mean I can highlight it if I qoute him...

if AA decides to recone the sub i would ask to see if there would be a way to either have that dustcap put on the new recone kit, or see if you can get that dustcap back as a shelf item.

We sell and service emergency vehicle equipment in the tampa bay area. it was kind of a test/show car to show what is available and to show the different style lights to customers. we do alot of strobe kits and stuff like that for funeral homes and construction vehicles. plus im not really into the race car thing and the only other mods for stock malibu's were using stuff off the impala. came out nice i think. looks cool as well.
