Davo2378
Ok so I have a brand new 3 month old Everstart Maxx 75N up front and I'm going to put two XS D1200 in the back. My question is do I need a battery isolator? And my other question is do I hook my 1/0 wire to the front battery or to the alternator?

You run 1/0 from your alt to your front batt and then from that front batt to the rear batts. Davo2378
ok I got it, and I already have the big 3 done so I just need to run the 1/0 to the back from the front battery. But your sure I dont need an isolator
FaTbOy911
Ok the isolator in my opinio no. About the 0gauge do the big 3 wich is 0 from battery to alternator and upgrading ur negatives to be specific it explains it better in the electrical section and use 0gaugd from the front to the back batteries Quote Had an estimate of 6400 for an alpine/clarion setup dealer said it "should" hit around 160db with the custom boxes he was going to make for me..doubtful with so much area to move but, budget is way below that any ideas on cheaper brands for that kind of Spl setup? really didnt want to try any Boss or soundstorm, thinking Quantum figure around $150 per speaker "$1800 total" and $1700 to power it, first actual big setup for the van. NRG
No isolator needed unless you plan on playin music without the engine running for extended periods of time (not recomended)
audiofanaticz
Fact: Battery Isolaters are only needed when you plan to play your system of a separate battery with the vehicle off. The Isolater then wont allow the stereo to drain which ever battery is being isolated so the vehicle can still be started.
