800 watt amp in my house? HOW!!???PLZ HELP

Alright so down to the point Ive got 1 power supply out of a computer that peaks at 300 watt power supply power. That powers my deck and 2 speakers no problem. I have a 800 watt clarion amp though that i also need to power. The biggest power source ive found is 200 bucks and its 750 watts max. or 400 rms. So i guess what im trying to ask is What is the cheapest best way to power 800 watts of power through a wall socket sort of thing i was thinking. The amp requires 30 amps of power also the power source ive seen maxes at 15? Please give me your opinion

Get several smaller power supplies and link them together. Just like you would link batteries together for more power. Make sure you link ALL of the +12v together, and ALL of the -12v together - many power supplies are like many smaller ones inside of one case. One power supply may have 4+ 12v power rails - but they are not connected. If you only take one wire, you won't be getting the full 12v power.

It has a SINGLE 12v rail, so no worrying about over working a single rail, and not using the others.

Alternatively, you can also just link a couple power supplies together. Just put together more power than you need, since they supply nearly exactly 12v - which would be similar to a bit of voltage drop, so the amp may draw a bit more power.

Thanks man that helps alot knowing that i can know bridge them together. But will my amps all bridge together aswell? cuz thats the main thing i need to know. Amp needs 30 amps. Will the amps increase as I bridge together more power supplies?

yes, you would just add up all the amps and get your total. but when spend all that money when you can get the one 30 amp (continuous) that i posted above for like 120 bucks or however much it was.

IMHO, why buy a power supply that is worth as much as a power amplifier that you can run on 120v? Just out of curiosity.
