8 subs on 1 amp?

can you wire 8 subs to 1 amp to get a 1 or 2 ohm load? If so would they need to be d2s or d4s?

thanks...looked on crutchfield but it only had up to 4 subs on a channel.

We have had a few installs running big amps in the UK on multiple subs and a few have had problems with something called back emf whilst I do not claim to know anything about it a quick google of it seems to back up some of the issues our guys over here have had, it only happens on a certain type of amplifier again I do NOT claim to understand it but it is worth doing a bit of research on first before going and buying a big/expensive amp and possibly having issues.
