Hifonics amps brutus or hfi ? which one

Recommended Posts

hey boys, needing abit of advice. im buying a hifonics amp to push 4 alpine type R's 12" at 1 ohm stable. now, there the brutus line of hifonics and the HFI line. Which one should i pick. i was looking at the HFI2500D. it pushes 2500watt RMS at 1 ohm (so it says) but its not cea compliant. the brutus line is cea compliant. is cea compliant really worth the extra cash ? LET ME KNOW :):drinks:

why i pick hifonics? because im going all hifonics except for subs.. and deck

Definitely the Brutas, the HFI line is Max rating so the model you are talking about will do like 1200rms if your lucky.........Just make sure you can keep the volts up since Hifonics amps lose 18% output for each volt under 14.xx volts dropped

The BRZ line is cea-2006 compliant and is pretty much true power, but they suffer a lot in low volt and due to impedance rise. The HFI models produce 400-500 less rms than the rated power.

04 Monochrome LT Chevy Tahoe

-A few wires, half a speaker, some watts

-All Black 6's

-Paint to Match, SS Bumper, Black grills.

-HID'ed and LED'ed

-A few performance enhancers

I have two nice subs for sale, but I am not allowed to help my fellow forum members by offering it to them for a nice price via my signature, sorry
