Sammitch0
Ok if people dont KNOW what they're talking about please stay out... I dont need opinion or guesses, I need somenoe that knows what I will need to run 3000RMS @ 14.4v I have $600 right this second to drop on an alternator and ONE better to run 1500RMS this is simple... Im willing to spend upwards of 450$ on an alternator if I have to but I need a decent batter too. THEKINGsBACK
How can u figure that out mathematically? Watts/voltage/efficiency=amperage. That's a rough estimate. For music, I divide the amperage by ~.6 damn ur good Quote he wouldnt be the first to say they did a 167 with a system like that (one that clearly DOESNT), but i have to say, he didnt beat me anywhere, ive never competed against the guy. If he thinks his does a 167, mine would probably put him in a coma. :hairtrick:

I don't believe in mixing types of batteries. Yes, I've read that it can be done..but I've also heard horror stories and long, detailed explanations on why you should mix Quote On 5/8/2011 at 7:38 PM, Kranny said: On 5/8/2011 at 7:35 PM, 'Maxim' said: It hurts me inside when I read stuff like this and remember you're 15 LMFAO so true Mitsubishi 3000GT (Old Build) Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: (2) McLaren Audio MLT-2 Tweeters & (4) PRV Audio MR Series Neo 6.5" Mids Substage: 4 15" Hybrid Subs - Tantric Motors & Sundown Softies Amps: Banda 2.4D Amp (Tweets), American Bass VFL 350.4 (Mids), and (2) Ampere 3800s Electrical :Singer 260A Alt & JY Power Lithium 2005 Chevy Colorado Ext Cab Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: 4 PRV 700Ti Tweets & 6 10" Delta Mids on 3000wrms Substage: 6 Fi BTL 18s in a 4th Order Walkthrough on 3 Wolfram 4500s Electrical: Singer "390" and JY Power My Official Feedback Thread

hdorre
It's hard to tell voltage because of all the variables, but I'd expect you not to have any drop if the voltage regulator is set correctly and if you know how to properly wire/tune an amp Those batts will be fine for 3kwrms. Youll probably just get minor drop. Oh, a second Big 3 wouldn't benefit you much (probably not even at all) Edited January 7, 2011 by hdorre Quote On 5/8/2011 at 7:38 PM, Kranny said: On 5/8/2011 at 7:35 PM, 'Maxim' said: It hurts me inside when I read stuff like this and remember you're 15 LMFAO so true Mitsubishi 3000GT (Old Build) Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: (2) McLaren Audio MLT-2 Tweeters & (4) PRV Audio MR Series Neo 6.5" Mids Substage: 4 15" Hybrid Subs - Tantric Motors & Sundown Softies Amps: Banda 2.4D Amp (Tweets), American Bass VFL 350.4 (Mids), and (2) Ampere 3800s Electrical :Singer 260A Alt & JY Power Lithium 2005 Chevy Colorado Ext Cab Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: 4 PRV 700Ti Tweets & 6 10" Delta Mids on 3000wrms Substage: 6 Fi BTL 18s in a 4th Order Walkthrough on 3 Wolfram 4500s Electrical: Singer "390" and JY Power My Official Feedback Thread
Sammitch0
It's an AUDIOPIPE 1500.1D but they do rated @ 14.4v @ 1OHM I'll be running 1 OHM per subwoofer 1 amplifier each @ 1500RMS. Jumping froma 260a to a 270a is like $50 it's not really worth the 10a for me you know what I mean? I'm trying to save as much as possible. I don't want to spend more than $450 on the alternator. THERE ARE NO SHORT CUTS IN CAR AUDIO... gotta pay to play.. that 10 amps might be the difference breaker.. consider it like insurance.. better to have it and not need it.. then need it and not have it buddy...
