Sammitch0
Tax returns are coming I know im going to yield atleast $600 (aint shit I know :-/) but regaurdless it's something, and that something will buy some electrical. I have BIG III ran and a new battery from walmart my alternator is stock in a 1996 Laredo so it's pretty much junk probaby 60 or 90amps. I'm running 1500RMS and I need that to be CLEAN so I will need upgrade suggestions. I want a solid 14.4v @ full tilt @ 1600RMS I will be adding another 1600RMS amplifier this is why I need an alternator. So I need 3200RMS capible alternator and a battery for the 1500RMS amplifier that will hold 14.4v full tilt. I need this within a $600 price range and I have knuconceptz kolossus 0/1 ran for my big III already. Just to verify... Alternator capible of 3200RMS @ 14.4v and a single batter capible of running 1600RMS @ 14.v I would like this at full tilt while driving, not idle of course. but I would love to stay above 13.5v at all times with a 35hz tone. THEKINGsBACK
In all honesty I think u need at 1000 bucks... Wat ur tryin to do 3200 watts alts prob gone run u 400 at least then a few batterys and another run of zero Quote he wouldnt be the first to say they did a 167 with a system like that (one that clearly DOESNT), but i have to say, he didnt beat me anywhere, ive never competed against the guy. If he thinks his does a 167, mine would probably put him in a coma. :hairtrick:
Sammitch0
I only need 1 battery for now m8t im running 1500RMS I dont think I need 2 batteries for that. the 3200RMS comes later this summer, I just want to effectivly run 1500RMS right now and then have alternator room to run the rest later on and ill just throw another 2 batteries down I'm thinking 3 XS 1200's (1 for now and my starter) then BIG III and a good 260-280amp alternator from a decent company. EclipseChris
You need at least 320a alt for steady voltage. Sammitch0
320amp? Well DC and Mechman both told me I only need like 280amp for 4kwrms...? I figure for 3000 I would only need like 240 or 200. TeamHT
Lol @ 320 alternator. LOL @ 3200rms alternator. A 270 would be more than enough with an s1200 under the hood and a D3100 in the back. Call it a day. Quote Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

hdorre
How can u figure that out mathematically? Watts/voltage/efficiency=amperage. That's a rough estimate. For music, I divide the amperage by ~.6 Quote On 5/8/2011 at 7:38 PM, Kranny said: On 5/8/2011 at 7:35 PM, 'Maxim' said: It hurts me inside when I read stuff like this and remember you're 15 LMFAO so true Mitsubishi 3000GT (Old Build) Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: (2) McLaren Audio MLT-2 Tweeters & (4) PRV Audio MR Series Neo 6.5" Mids Substage: 4 15" Hybrid Subs - Tantric Motors & Sundown Softies Amps: Banda 2.4D Amp (Tweets), American Bass VFL 350.4 (Mids), and (2) Ampere 3800s Electrical :Singer 260A Alt & JY Power Lithium 2005 Chevy Colorado Ext Cab Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: 4 PRV 700Ti Tweets & 6 10" Delta Mids on 3000wrms Substage: 6 Fi BTL 18s in a 4th Order Walkthrough on 3 Wolfram 4500s Electrical: Singer "390" and JY Power My Official Feedback Thread
