Sammitch0 Posted January 7, 2011 Author Report Posted January 7, 2011 (edited) Are there any other companies that do 270a alternators for under $550? lol I'm 21 I understand all of this... I'm just not made of money and I NEED electrical my alternators about to go and I dont have an extra $300 to burn heh. I was hoping you guys would have used XS batteries I could buy for like $300 and then spend $400-$450 on an alternator ugh. Quote he wouldnt be the first to say they did a 167 with a system like that (one that clearly DOESNT), but i have to say, he didnt beat me anywhere, ive never competed against the guy. If he thinks his does a 167, mine would probably put him in a coma. :hairtrick:
Sammitch0 Posted January 7, 2011 Author Report Posted January 7, 2011 I got a quote from mech he can do 270A @ 14.5v for $400 shipped. I'll spend the rest on two XS1200's and a second big 3 and call it a day anyone agree? I guess if I drop below 14.4 thats fine ill just tune my amps to like 1400rms a piece. hdorre Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 A second big 3? There's no need. Even with the resistance you'll be fine because the runs are so short.
