So there's this option called bass boost on Kenwood head units, and I was just wondering what it does, besides giving more bass. There are 2 settings to it, "Bass Boost 1" and "Bass Boost 2". Would this clip my amp/subs if I have it on?

Bass Boost or Sound Enhancer (on my pioneer) adds dB level boost to the frequency, I would suggest against using it, most likely will produce clipping.

@Captain0389 - I have a Kenwood headunit, running a Hifonics BXI1610D, with 2 12" Alpine Type R's.

@Sammitch0, @tonedeaf, @kranny - Why is there an option for bass boost if it produces clipping?

Ussually for people with normal setups, as in no amp or subs...just to add a little bass in their mids...but even then it ussually clips.
