Heres a double 18 box im making a for a customer. very simple design, nothing major. its made for an expedition with will enclose 2 RE Audio MTs. The 18s are gonna be recones put together by me and a co-worker. we had some MT motors laying around so my boss sold them and bought re-cones and baskets to make them to 18s

Box specs:

tuned to 35 Hz

20^3ft Gross... 8^3ft Net. per chamber.

I screw the first face piece to help make it a a bit stronger

once i got the second face on, I outlined the ports so i can router them out.

I had issues, the bearing on the router. It keep falling of so i had to use some fiberglass jelly and bondo make it smooth again. also the top faces weren't 100% because the table saw fence only goes out to 36 inches and the with was 37.5 so i had to kinda make my own fence thus i had to use the fiberglass jelly on the out side a lil also

thanks for looking, just seeing what comments i get. not sure if im gonna keep this updated but if u guys want more then ill take some pics. box is still needs port painted, carpet, glue the re-cones, and we still need run wires and install everything in the suv. so still lots of work to be done.

It should be around 8 cubic feet per chamber(cant remember from the top of my head), after port and speaker. Its tuned to 35 hertz.

Thanks, just waiting on binding post to arrive so I can carpet the box.

Just a.bit of constructive criticism, you should make the box walls thicker. A single layer is way too thin for such big subs.

Looking good otherwise though

1 layer is thin but thats the way the boss wanted it so i just did what the boss says. each sub is gonna get around 1200 watts RMS and used plenty of glue. so it should hold up fine. I hope lol
