01Tac0ma Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 Nice build man, I just recently got into fiberglass about a year and a half ago. Fun stuff to mess with and create some cool things with it. I just recently made a custom grill for my truck and ive built 2 boxes and a few door panels, but Nice Work! BUILD
Audio-Concepts Posted June 8, 2011 Author Report Posted June 8, 2011 Yeah I love doing it, been doing it about 8-9 years give or take! Fun times! Pioneer AVH480 Zapco ST5XII amplifier Stevens Audio 6.5" components (passive) Onyx Subwoofer Sky High OFC wiring
Kevin M Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 I like the build. That old school equipment is awesome. I remember these amps when I was in high school. That alesis eq is very popular. I have seen at least ten top level cars over the years use them in competitions. I wanted one myself but it wasn't in the budget. I really wanted an ashley or rane. lol 2005 Ford Focus zx4 AMT's and Planars 18" Infinite baffle
Audio-Concepts Posted June 8, 2011 Author Report Posted June 8, 2011 I also have an Alesis DEQ230, debating in running that in the car though! Pioneer AVH480 Zapco ST5XII amplifier Stevens Audio 6.5" components (passive) Onyx Subwoofer Sky High OFC wiring
Kevin M Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 The way I see it you might have the same problem I have. The possible introduction of noise through the inverter powering the eq. How to integrate a system remote so I don't have to reach to my backseat everytime I turn the eq on and off? lol I am worried about this as I have a pro eq like yours. Same 30 bands stereo just not as nice lol. Is that what you were worried about? The width does make it a challenge for a location but mine is only 6" deep. I figured yours would be close to the same. 2005 Ford Focus zx4 AMT's and Planars 18" Infinite baffle
Audio-Concepts Posted June 8, 2011 Author Report Posted June 8, 2011 Im gonna run the invertor through an ign turn on, so its always on, when car turns on, an im trying to figure out noise reduction when/if thst problem occurs. I plan on running a relay for the inverter! I have som distribution blocks so I can power all my equipment off my main wire!
