I wouldnt call it a joke. I call it smart. DD and others do the same thing. Its meant to protect the company from false warranty claims because someone who has no idea what htye are doing is running 3 times the rms to it and blwoing them up left and right. run more than rms to it and warranty void. since its at the noob price point im sure that alot of people get their hands on them and puff puff pass.

go plug your door speakers to a 3k amp, then say power doesnt blow speakers,

theres is so much bad info running around on here from alot of recent newbs posting what they think is right to other newbs..

and all the newbs stop bringin up the 8s doing 50s, yea its good, but it was not for a daily setup. and the sub will not take that power daily,

Why don't you do a removable port, I could do 150's in your s10 with those two 12 and 1000 watts.

subs on the passanger side port on driver side...

5 cubes tuned to 35hz with 8 0 square inches of port

with 1000 watts u should be much louder than a 142

i just did this and with 400 watts it was 146's on music

But just the other day, I tried something new and well..... cant explain..lol

I held the box off the side by about 8"

so it wasnt as wide..

subs on pass side, aero's out the side on the drvr side.

2 cheap 8's on 400 in 1.25 doin 38's @....... 31hz WTFBBQ?

so tried it again

2007 ford ext cab

Single RE SE 10

sub forward port out the pass side

1.4 after

41's @ sub 35hz

Both setups were flat flat.. from 30-50.. like within a db

4.25 cubed tuned to 33.5hz 1000watts...
