He's probably right, milky oil is a head/water pump gasket. New rings and valves are needed on 4 strokes more than you think.

They are not supposed to smoke at all, even when cold. It's probably burning oil

You should change the oil every 2-3 rides, 4-strokes need fresh oil and filters

Get rid of it and get a 2-stroke...seriously

It sounds like you don't know much about dirtbikes. 2-strokes can be pretty much bullet proof. Rebuild is only a piston and rings...$200 tops

4-strokes cost so much more money to maintain. Oil changes, valves, oil filters, valve adjustments

A "specialized kawasaki service" is going to tell you the same thing.

How often do you check to see if the valves are in spec? When is the last time it had a topend put in it?

How often do you change the oil and filters?

ya your right i have low knowledge about the mechanic part, im a go and ride guy. the oils been changed ever 4 or so rides like i said i just let it sit with the gas on for a couple months...the "specialized kawi specialist" sounded a bit snoby but im basically going to take it to a less brand name shop, smaller shop. if they tell me the same thing i probably will sell it but doubt ill go 2 stroke, ive ridden a few of my friends and idk it was just weird i like the power, sound, and overall feel of the tanks fourstrokes bring

In the long run a 2-stroke will be cheaper and cost way less to maintain.

If you get another 4-stroke keep up on the maintancence, change oil and filters frequently, check the valves, do a topend and rings when needed, timing chain etc

You can't just "go and ride" on a newer 4-stroke

my bike did the same thing. just clean all the carb jets real good and try to find gas without ethanol. theres a station by my house that sells 110 octane leaded racimg fuel. my bike loves it!

i heard of some dude who put racing fuel into his kawi and blew the motor because of the heat, kawi would back it up and it wasnt under warenty any more? were you lacking power?

nope i have a honda 650 xr with custom pipe and carb jets and it loves it. my dad mixes it 5050 with premmium in his harley. its less harsh. maybe do that?

your bike was blowing blue smoke out the pipe? I'm having a hard time believing just cleaning the carb would fix that

blue smoke usually means burning oil, Probably has worn out rings
