My Ally finally got the Froyo update, so I got that, rooted. Hella faster than 2.1 was. I was OC'd until I updated to Froyo. There's no OC for the ALly on Froyo yet, it's going to be released when Velocity 5 is released, which will supposedly be soon. What phone do you have, and what ROM are you running? edit- Also, it wouldn't brick, it would just do a clean update.
