The copper coil is STANDARD on all new Z v.2 woofers -- it replaces the old 4-layer aluminum coil. Each one will be relatively fresh with ~5 minutes of break-in time playing low frequencies on our bench 1500D. I just picked up a set and they are suppose to have the nightshade cone and I have no idea what the handling limits are. I just picked up a set and they are suppose to have the nightshade cone and I have no idea what the handling limits are. It depends on frequency.
