Swaggasaur Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 We had bad rains today and I slid and hit the car in from of me. The car she was driving was a van. My whole front end is pretty much done. And the quarter panels are bent pretty good too. I'll try and get a picture later or tommorrow. What can I do since it's an 86 (chevy m? I stopped by a collision tech place and they don't do anything with cars under the year 2000. I haven't went to the insurance yet. But what can I do? Swaggasaur Posted January 25, 2011 Author Report Posted January 25, 2011 Highly doubt it. If I didn't want to go through insurance I'd have to get a whole new front end. Which is $1000+ Quote BHE Wall Build TEAM DC Audio TEAM XS POWER1986 Monte Carlo KMC Nova's 20"4 DC XL's W/ PSI Recones2 DC 5k'sPioneer PRS 8010 Audio Technix 6 XS Power D3100's 1 XS Power D3400 Mechman 220a Alternator
Blue Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 Consider the car totaled if you go through insurance. But other than that, just pray that the fame isnt bent. If it is, I would start looking for a new ride man. Hate to say it, but that's what is going to happen. Quote formerly known as Blue86f150 its a 4th order just because its tuned in the 40z doesnt mean it wont reach down and jiggle your balls at sub 30 hz frequencies. I just have a really sensitive front end It's not even reinforced. BeatBox Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 if its just parts and not the frame that is messed up then start hitting those junkyards thats prob your best best if you dont want to spend time doing all that part it out or if all else fails go thru your insurance and get another ride Quote

The external damage wasn't bad - dented up the tail gate, broke a tail light, and put a small wrinkle in a quarter panel. We didn't think it was too bad. But it tweaked the frame just enough that it totalled it out! If you wanna keep your car, your best bet is probably leave insurance out of it! Quote Man I'm glad I didn't lock this I get to witness two retards holding hands telling each other that it'll be ok because they are awesome.

Not sure where you're from or if it's the same but I believe that in California if the repair cost is over 75% of your vehicles value then it's totaled. And insurance think EVERYTHING is worth 75% more than a car that's pre-02. lol Quote TEAM FLEX ISSUES Car: 1985 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royal 24" Rims HU: 7" Carputer, Planet Audio EQ, iPhone. hershy314 Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 as long as the frame isnt twisted/bent i really doubt they would total it out. Quote http://athphotography.deviantart.com/ http://www.youtube.com/user/hershy314
