The 7mm is a nice mid ground between the .308 and .300wm it is no 1200+ superstar. It only gets it's downtown range from the fact that it shoots lighter bullets at faster speeds when compared to the .300, so when that speed starts to slow you have a lightweight bullet floating around in the wind. Im sure rolex has an idea.of more loads that do it. Hell finding a place to.shoot that far is tough to.come by even. The range information cards I was studying had 7mm mag pegged with Max effective range at 1600 ... While still having enough energy for deer at 1500... I hear ya but there are a small handful of places that I can go to reach 1500-1700 yds ... Farms and such that my uncle has access to...
