We are all so far away from each other, but in the same state =P But yeah I'm from Shamokin in Northumberland County, it's by Sunbury, Selinsgrove, Lewisburg, and Mt. Carmel. SPLadd1ct Posted March 5, 2011 Author Report Share Posted March 5, 2011 What up SMD? Looks like I didn't get an update in a while so here are some pictures of the box I am working on. The enclosure was designed by a great user on here, MazdaSPL. I was going to go with a PWK designs box but refused to pay what he wanted for the design plans. Anyhow the box is 22" deep, 35" wide, and 15" high. It is tuned to 33 hertz, features a double top baffle, and internal bracing for the abuse the neodymium motor is going to dish out on the poor fellow. We are as far as we can with building the box until it gets warmer out for the bondo and resin to cure properly. After the smoothing out and everything is finished I am going to have the enclosure painted to match the exterior of my car. Note that the side wall on the port side is not attached yet so we can get in there to paint when it is time, I just shoved it in there to get a better idea of what it will look like. Enjoy fellas. And here is a picture of it sitting in the trunk of my car. Note that there will be about 8 inches of clearance from the edge of the enclosure to the trunk wall so the back wave has enough room. I'm going to call him up tomorrow so we can meet him. This should turn out sweet as hell! Keep up the good work man! Hell yeah! And on the mid/ high setup, I'd look at Kickers' line of stuff. They are affordable and sound quality is awesome! I know a lot of people don't like Kicker, but their component lines are pretty nice. It's at least worth looking into?
