Just saw this build, looks just like mine lmao. Only difference is I have a D3400 not 2400, and an SMD not a Warden. Did you ever test the resonant frequency of the car before building? My car likes to peak ~39, my box is tuned to 33 and I was doing 147.8 constant (now it's 146.7 >.>) @ 38-39 hz. Best I've done is 150.3 with a friends D1 BTL.

How much rise are you seeing and have you clamped the amp? My 4500 is doing ~2600 @ 3.67 ohms. Sorry if these questions have already been answered, just read the last page lol

What did you have your driver wired down to? My voice coils are 1.4 ohm so I am going to put them in parallel for a 0.7 ohm load before any rise.

But impedance rise really sucks, I am thinking of ways to counteract it. I think strapping another Sundown 4500D for double the powa may be a good resolution :pardon:

Yea mine are D2 wired to 1 ohm so starting at .7 nominal. I'm going to try rebuilding my box first, but I've been wanting to put another 4500 to it. Problem for me is that's guna be expensive since if I add another amp I'm going to want to do a 2nd alternator, and at least 1-2 more batteries at the same time. Shit adds up lol.

there's a couple big shows in MI this summer, also unless you guys are just going for numbers, it's hard to keep subs together with 2 amps of power daily. I saw the box on monday, all the bondo was on it!

The fuseholders are KnuKonceptz, I highly recommend them!

My idle jumped up to 900-1000 rpm since I added stinger HPM 1/0 to the engine block to chassis ground and battery negative to chassis ground. It used to be about 600-700 rpm...

very nice :)

Thanks bud. It should be finished by next weekend.

We may actually put the paint on hold, we want to drop the sub in and see how it sounds before we put on $150 worth of paint on a box that might not perform well.

So I hope I can get lots of videos and pictures up next weekend for yall'.
