speedball1978 Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 Anyone want to help me figure out how to step up my voltage. Here's what i have currently d1200 under the hood, DC Power 320 HP alt, xs power d3100 in the back.. i'm reading a steady 14.7 and drops to maybe around 14.4 14.5 but i would like to increase this voltage up to 15.7 15.8 without reaching the 16v which would require a step down. Do i need to get a VCM? MLA module?, do i need to send the alternator back to have the set point customized... i don't have a budget...its a 2009 chevy malibu LT2 2.4 4 cyclinder

Guest Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 willing to bet a vcm or mla wont help you and that the voltage is controlled by the computer. i was under the impression that you could attach an mla or vcm even if the car's voltage was controlled by the ECU
