Just to clear things up, I know this is a old ass thread BUT, the DDz was compared to the N3 and ya.....if your not planning to do 180+ db then the N3 walks all over the Z. The Z takes more high pressure abuse but the cost, sound and efficiency from the N3 series offset any

The DDz cone is top of the list when it comes to handling the pressure but lacks that warmer sound quality of the standard cone Fi uses.

The efficient use of power is better for the N3 than the DDz but they were within .2dB of each other right up to the limit of the Fi Cone. DD was able to take more power mechanically from the cone strength alone. If the N3 had a Carbon Fiber cone(HINT HINT :) ) the test would have to be redone

I would probably leave out the aluminum sleeve on the N3 for a burp build but aside from that, that sub is the best option I know of currently for people looking for an affordable neo sub that dont break the bank.

I have offered IA the opportunity to send me a Warden to put up against the N3 then return it back to IA. I think that subwoofer might be a better comparison as far as cost/performance but I am still waiting......so maybe that's a clue.

But as I said, unless your planning on doing 180+dB the DDz is not worth it. DDz may own 180+db but theres a better choice for those doing street builds or walled daily drivers.

I have not tested the SP4 but I suspect this will do better in smalled ported enclosures and handle more long term power over extended demo time. Thats the next one I gotta pick up.
